Consider your group size, preferred pace, and must-see stops. A 68’-78’ motor yacht suits couples or small groups who want manoeuvrability in Capri’s tighter coves, while a superyacht above 100’ offers expansive deck space for entertaining and a full suite of water toys. Your Boatcrowd broker can match the right vessel to your priorities and travel style.
Capri sits at the heart of the Bay of Naples, so combining it with the Amalfi Coast, Ischia, and Procida is straightforward, Positano is roughly 10 nautical miles from Marina Piccola. A seven-day charter comfortably covers the full bay, with optional extensions south towards the Aeolian Islands for those with more time to explore Sicily’s volcanic archipelago.
The base fee includes the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and onboard amenities such as water toys, snorkelling gear, and tender use. Running expenses, fuel, provisioning, port fees, and crew gratuity, are covered by the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically 25 to 35% of the charter fee and settled before your departure date.
Capri is a wonderful family destination. The sheltered bays around Marina Piccola and the south coast provide calm, warm swimming conditions, and most yachts carry paddleboards, snorkelling gear, and inflatables for younger guests. Crew can arrange gentle shoreside excursions, the chairlift to Monte Solaro and a gelato walk through the lanes of Anacapri are perennial favourites with children of all ages.
A yacht charter in Capri anchors you off one of the world’s most iconic island silhouettes, the Faraglioni sea stacks rising 100 metres from the water, whitewashed villas spilling down limestone cliffs, and the legendary Blue Grotto casting an electric azure glow that photographs never quite capture. Despite the island measuring barely 10 square kilometres, Capri punches far above its size: the marina-side restaurants of Marina Grande serve freshly landed catch, the Piazzetta hums with aperitivo crowds at sunset, and a short tender ride reaches swimming coves where the water is so clear it appears backlit from below. The island’s south coast, from Punta Carena to the Arco Naturale, is best explored by yacht, inaccessible by road and rewarding with empty swimming spots even in high summer. Boatcrowd lists a wide selection of motor yachts from 68’ to 98’, superyachts above 100’, and luxury catamarans from 55’ available for Capri charters, drawn from Italy’s fleet of over 180 vessels.
July and August are peak season, when the harbour is at its most glamorous; June and September offer warm seas, shorter queues for the Blue Grotto, and noticeably softer rates. Charter rates start from €4,000 per day on a catamaran, from €4,800 per day on a 68’-78’ motor yacht, and from €9,900 per day on a latest-model 88’-99’ yacht, plus Italian IVA and APA. Capri delivers an outsized dose of la dolce vita from a remarkably small island.
