About Edesia

Francois Zuretti drew the interior of Edesia, and her layout hands the main deck to the owner: a full-beam suite with panoramic windows, a king bed, walk-in dressing rooms and a study of its own. She is a 121ft (37m) Benetti superyacht on three decks, built in 2014 and refitted in 2022, with her exterior lines by Stefano Righini and large floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the main saloon with daylight.

Where she cruises

Edesia keeps her home port at Capri, in Italy, and from there works the west Mediterranean along the coasts of Italy, France and Monaco, so a charter with her need not stay within a single country's shore.

Accommodation and crew

Five staterooms sleep ten guests: the king in the owner's suite, two VIP doubles and two twins that convert to doubles, each twin carrying a Pullman berth as well. The VIPs and the twins sit on the lower deck with their own ensuites, and a crew of seven look after the ten.

Comfort under way

Two MTU engines push her fibreglass hull along at a 12-knot cruise with 15 knots at the top, and her high summer falls in July and August. Her stabilisers work at zero speed as well as under way, so there is less roll both on passage and while she lies at anchor.

On deck

The foredeck has been redrawn into a wide social area, and the sundeck carries the jacuzzi with sunpads and loungers around it, plus a projector and cinema screen, so the top deck serves for sunbathing and for a film under the open sky. The sky lounge on the upper deck opens out to a dining area in the open air with views all round, only one of several places to eat outside; her latest refit gave the main saloon a new floor and a new coffee table, and a swim platform puts the sea a step away.

Water toys

Two tenders travel with her, a 37ft Axopar chase boat and a 16ft Castoldi tender, so a run ashore need not wait for the boat that is towing. Eleven toys go with them: a Seadoo jet ski, run from an RYA-approved PWC centre aboard, two Seabob F5S for two riders at once, two Yamaha Sea Scooters, two SUP boards, water skis, a wakeboard, a wakeskate, a towable tube, inflatable toys, snorkelling gear and a water slide that sends guests from her deck straight into the sea.

Charter notes

Edesia suits two couples or a family, with cabins that make up as doubles or twins to fit either party. She is offered by the week or as a three-day hire, and for an event she can take up to fifty guests aboard, agreed case by case, so the ten who sleep aboard can open her decks to a far larger party.
