Nikca Motor Yacht

A refit in 2022 is the most recent chapter in the life of Nikca, an 89ft (27m) Maiora motor yacht whose hull dates from 2009.

On deck

Her swim platform makes swimming a matter of stepping down rather than climbing back over a rail, and snorkelling gear is kept aboard for a closer look below the surface.

Water toys

A 15ft Novurania tender is her link with the shore, and the toys cover both the fast and the slow side of the water: a jet ski and a Yamaha Waverunner, water skis, a wakeboard and inflatables for towing, then a kayak and two paddleboards, which puts two people on the water under their own power at the same time. Fishing gear is carried as well.

Where she cruises

Capri is her home port, and Italy alone is her cruising ground, with July and August her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Four staterooms sleep eight guests, two of them with double beds and two with twins, and a crew of four works out at a crew member for every two people aboard. Air conditioning runs through the cabins and Wi-Fi reaches across the boat, so the group stays cool and in touch with home.

Comfort under way

Nikca cruises at 20 knots with 25 in reserve, so the distance between anchorages is covered quickly.

Charter notes

She suits a family or a group of friends looking to hire a crewed boat in Italy, and by day she can take twelve aboard, so a party larger than the overnight group can join her on the water.
