Mykonos is one of Greece’s busiest charter hubs, and the most desirable yachts for July and August are often booked by late winter. We recommend reserving at least six to nine months ahead for peak season to secure the best vessel and itinerary options. Shoulder-season charters in May to June or September can typically be confirmed three to four months in advance with a wider selection.
High season runs from late June through August, when demand drives charter rates to their annual peak and Mykonos’ marinas and anchorages are at their busiest. Shoulder-season voyages in May to June and September to October can reduce the base charter rate by 15 to 25%, with the added bonus of quieter anchorages around Rhenia and Delos and more relaxed pace ashore.
Luxury catamarans from 55 ft typically accommodate six to ten guests across three to five cabins, motor yachts in the 68 to 98 ft range carry eight to twelve guests in four to five ensuite staterooms, and superyachts above 100 ft can host twelve or more across five to seven luxurious suites. Greek maritime regulations cap overnight guests at twelve on most commercially registered charter yachts.
Mykonos is perfectly positioned for Cyclades island-hopping. Delos lies just ten minutes away, Tinos and Syros are within an hour’s cruise, and Paros and Naxos are easily reached in a half-day passage. A seven-day charter from Mykonos can comfortably take in four to five islands, and our team can design a bespoke route based on your interests and pace.
Yacht charter Mykonos anchors you at the epicentre of Aegean glamour, an island where whitewashed lanes spill into the waterside bars of Little Venice, the iconic windmills stand sentinel above the old harbour, and beach clubs along Psarou and Ornos pulse from noon until well after midnight. Yet step aboard and cruise ten minutes south-west and you reach Delos, the sacred birthplace of Apollo, its Terrace of the Lions silent and luminous in the morning light. The Mykonos charter fleet ranges from luxury catamarans starting at 55 ft, ideal for day cruises to neighbouring Tinos and Paros, through modern motor yachts in the 68 to 98 ft range with spacious sun decks and al-fresco dining, to superyachts above 100 ft that command the best berths along the new marina waterfront. High season runs from late June through August, when the island’s energy peaks and waterfront dining reservations must be planned days ahead; May to June and September offer a more measured tempo with softer pricing and open anchorages.
Charter rates start from €3,900 per day on a luxury catamaran, from €4,900 per day on a motor yacht, from €8,900 per day on the latest 88 to 99 ft models, and from €11,900 per day on a superyacht, plus 12% VAT (or 6.5% depending on yacht type) and APA. Mykonos delivers the Cyclades at their most vibrant.
