La Dolce Vita Motor Yacht

Her 2022 refit reached the parts a guest actually touches: Wi-Fi, a smart television in the salon, a Bose system through the boat, and new light grey cushions on the sunbathing area forward. La Dolce Vita, a 65ft (20m) Princess motor yacht from 2005, came out of it in good order.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 23 knots and holds 31 in reserve, burning 300 litres an hour, which lets her cover a stretch of coast quickly.

On deck

A wide sunshade covers the roomy cockpit, where a dining table seats six, and a catwalk makes getting forward easy. The sunbathing area is forward, and the top deck adds an alfresco table for six and two chaises longues aft.

Water toys

A Seabob, a paddleboard, a kayak, a towable banana and snorkelling gear all travel with her, so swimming, paddling and being towed are possible from where she lies. A 9ft tender, new in 2022, handles trips ashore.

Where she cruises

La Dolce Vita cruises Italy from her home port at Capri, with a berth at Castellammare near Naples, her season at its peak in July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins below deck – a master, a VIP and a twin, each with a private bathroom – sleep six, and three crew run her, a crew member for every two guests. The salon has large windows and a dining area for six, so the party can sit down together inside as well as out.

Charter notes

La Dolce Vita was put together with children and families in mind, and a group of friends fits her just as well; with twelve able to be aboard by day, a hire can carry more people on the water than sleep aboard.
