For July and August, when Göcek’s Twelve Islands are at their most popular, booking six to eight months ahead is recommended. The shoulder months of May, June, and October offer superb conditions with broader yacht availability and can often be arranged three to four months in advance, sometimes at attractive reduced repositioning rates that offer exceptional value for flexible travellers.
The base fee covers the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and standard equipment including the tender and basic water toys. Fuel, food, beverages, marina fees, and premium water sports are funded through the APA, set at 30 to 35% of the charter fee. Turkish VAT (KDV) at 20% applies to the base rate, and any unspent APA is refunded after the voyage.
Absolutely, and it’s one of the most rewarding ways to experience this stretch of coast. Fethiye lies just 15 nautical miles to the south, while Marmaris is roughly 35 nautical miles to the west, making multi-port itineraries easy to build into a seven- to ten-day charter. Your Boatcrowd broker can design a routing that maximises the variety of anchorages, swimming coves, ancient ruins, and shoreside dining along the way.
Göcek is one of Turkey’s most family-friendly charter bases. The sheltered Twelve Islands offer calm, shallow bays ideal for young swimmers, and the short distances between anchorages keep sailing legs brief and relaxed. On-board crews are experienced with families, most vessels carry child-friendly life jackets, paddleboards, and inflatable toys, and the unhurried village pace ashore, with waterside ice-cream shops, gentle walks, and safe swimming, suits younger travellers perfectly.
Yacht charter Göcek delivers one of the Mediterranean’s most serene cruising experiences, a compact bay studded with twelve pine-cloaked islands, each hiding its own translucent cove, and backed by the Taurus mountains whose forested ridges glow amber at sunset. Göcek’s six marinas, including the well-regarded D-Marin and Club Marina, serve as a base for Turkey’s 128+ charter fleet: 68′-98′ motor yachts, 100′+ superyachts, 55′+ luxury catamarans, and 90′-115′+ gulets whose broad teak decks were practically designed for these island-hop distances. Peak season runs June to September, with 30 to 34°C air and warm, gin-clear water that rarely drops below 26°C; May and October bring 25°C days, emptier anchorages, and gentler pricing. Daily rates start from $3,500/day for a motor yacht, reaching $15,000+/day on a superyacht, plus 20% Turkish VAT and 30 to 35% APA for fuel, provisions, and marina fees. Göcek’s defining quality is intimacy at scale: the Twelve Islands are close enough to explore several in a single day, yet each feels utterly private, with nothing between you and the water but the scent of wild thyme drifting off the hillside and the occasional call of a Cory’s shearwater skimming the surface at dusk.
