Calm Down Motor Yacht

Two Yamaha EX Deluxe jet skis travel with Calm Down, so two riders can be out on the water at the same time, and with eighteen guests allowed aboard by day she is offered for a day charter as well as for longer bookings. She is a 100ft (30m) motor yacht built by Custom Made in 2023, with twin Volvo Penta engines and a pair of 35 kW Onan generators supplying her electricity.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, three of them with king beds, two with doubles and a single twin room. Six crew look after them – a captain, a chef, two sailors and two hostesses – so each pair of guests has, in effect, a crew member of their own.

Comfort under way

Her hull is built of wood, 7m across the beam, and she holds 12 knots on passage with 14 at full throttle, so a move along the coast is made at a steady pace rather than a sprint.

On deck

The jacuzzi is out on deck, so a hot tub comes with sky overhead and sea air around it, and a barbecue on deck means a meal can be cooked in the open rather than only inside.

Water toys

Beyond the jet skis Calm Down carries a water ski, a towable banana and a ringo, all pulled behind her dinghy with its outboard, and canoes for paddling off with no engine at all. Fishing tackle and snorkelling kit make up the rest of her seven toys, so there is a line to drop over the side and a mask for what lies beneath her, and the same dinghy does the runs ashore.

Where she cruises

Gocek in Turkey is her home port and she works that country's coast, reaching Fethiye, Marmaris, Selimiye and Bodrum, with July and August the months her season peaks, and on a coast like this the shore is never far from her deck.

Charter notes

Calm Down suits two couples or a family who want a week of being looked after on the coast of Turkey. Beyond the single day she is let for three days or for a full week, so a shorter rental is there for those who cannot spare the whole week.
