About North Wind

Two Northstar tenders go to sea with North Wind, a 23ft boat and a 16ft boat, each with a Honda outboard of its own, so two parties can be away from her side at the same time. She is 144ft (44m) long, built by Turkish Gulet in 2023, and much of what she carries is meant for the water.

On deck

Her beach club and swim platform put guests at the height of the sea rather than above it, and underwater lights pick out the water around her hull at night.

Water toys

Eleven toys ride with her. Two jet skis let two riders set off together, and she carries a Seabob and an electric Waydoo eFoil as well. Water skis, a wakeboard, a Ringo towable and a larger towable share the tow, so there is more than a single way to be pulled behind a boat, while a single SUP board and a kayak move at paddle pace and snorkelling gear is aboard for looking beneath the surface.

Where she cruises

Bodrum in Turkey is North Wind's home port, and from there she is available for charter along the coast of Turkey and in the Dodecanese in Greece, so two countries' waters lie within her range.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests: a master with a king bed, two VIP cabins with queen beds, a double cabin and a twin, and by day the count stays at ten as well. A crew of eight looks after them, so the crew number sits only a little below the guest number, and July and August form the peak of her season.

Comfort under way

Two MAN diesels move her at 10 knots on a cruise with 12 knots at the top, and as a motor sailer she carries sail as well as engines, which gives her a second way of making passage.

Charter notes

For an event she can be hired with 60 guests aboard, so a party far larger than the ten who sleep on her can join her. North Wind suits a family or two couples, and the water skis she carries in sizes for adults and for children mean the younger members of a family can be towed too.
