Son of Wind Motor Sailer

Two tenders travel with Son of Wind, a 15ft and a 12ft, which gives her a second boat for getting ashore. She is a 142ft (43m) motor sailer from Custom Made, launched in 2021.

Water toys

Eight toys come with her, among them two Seadoo jet skis, so two riders can be out on the water at the same time, plus a SUP board, water skis, a kneeboard, a floating mat and snorkelling gear. Her swim platform shortens the step between deck and sea for anyone going in.

Where she cruises

She is based at Bodrum in Turkey, and her cruising covers Turkey and Greece, two coastlines she can move between rather than staying with a single shore.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins take ten guests overnight, and by day she has room for 12 aboard. The beds are a king, a queen and four doubles. Six crew look after the ten sleeping aboard, close to a crew member for every pair of guests, and air conditioning and Wi-Fi run throughout.

Comfort under way

Under power she settles at 11 knots, with 15 available when she needs to press on, and her busiest months are July and August.

Son of Wind suits two couples travelling together or a family filling her ten berths, and a shorter hire of a day or three days is possible too, which puts the same crew, the same cabins and the same toys within reach of a short stay on the water.
