For the glamorous November to April social season, eight to ten months’ lead time is advisable, with demand peaking around the International Polo season (January to April), the Palm Beach Boat Show (March), and the winter holidays. Summer charters offer warmer water and superb diving conditions and can typically be arranged four to five months ahead at softer rates.
The base rate covers the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and standard on-board equipment including the tender and water toys. Fuel, provisions, beverages, dockage fees, and any excursions are funded through the APA (30 to 35% of the charter fee). Florida state sales tax at 7% applies to the base rate, and any unspent APA is refunded at voyage’s end.
Yes, both are natural extensions. Miami is roughly 70 nautical miles south via the Intracoastal or a scenic offshore run parallel to the Gold Coast, while the Bahamas’ Grand Bahama Island sits approximately 60 nautical miles east across the Gulf Stream. Your Boatcrowd broker can design a seamless multi-stop itinerary linking Palm Beach’s elegance with Miami’s energy or the Bahamas’ turquoise solitude.
Palm Beach is an excellent family charter base. The calm, sheltered Intracoastal waters are ideal for young swimmers and paddleboarders, and shore excursions, the Palm Beach Zoo, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, and the Manatee Lagoon, captivate children of every age. Crews regularly tailor menus and daily itineraries for families, and the short cruising distances between Palm Beach, Jupiter, and the reefs keep on-water time manageable for younger guests.
