Alpha Waves Superyacht

The beach club Benetti built into Alpha Waves lowers its terraces to the waterline and holds a swimming pool of its own, so the sea is a step away. She is a 133ft (40m) superyacht built in 2023, laid out as an open plan so that inside and outside run together, with a main saloon lit by daylight, circular sofas and a bar set forward.

Water toys

Two tenders come with her: a 26ft tender for going ashore and a 40' Invincible Catamaran, which she tows behind her, and there is a Dragonfly flats fishing boat and fishing gear as well, so fishing is part of her kit. In the water, two Seabobs carry two riders at a time, a wakeboard waits for towing, and two paddleboards, a kite surf and two kayaks that each seat two people cover the slower ways of getting about, with snorkel gear aboard for looking beneath the surface.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Exuma in the Bahamas, and she works the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos as well as the USA, Mexico and Belize, five countries of coast to choose between.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests: a king-size owner's suite on the main deck with a sitting area of its own, two queen-bedded VIP cabins and two twins, each with an en-suite bathroom. A crew of eight looks after them, and by day she can carry twelve, so two more can be aboard than sleep aboard.

Comfort under way

Alpha Waves, whose peak months run from the start of December to the end of March, runs stabilisers that take the roll out of her, and she cruises at 14 knots with 18 knots in hand.

On deck

Her sundeck carries sunpads, a bar and an open-air dining table for ten, which means the whole party sits down outdoors together, and a deck jacuzzi is there for a soak in the open air. The skylounge is set for formal dining when a meal moves inside, the foredeck has its own lounging space, and the gym forward holds a Peloton bike, a treadmill, weights and yoga mats, so training carries on afloat.

Charter notes

Alpha Waves suits two couples or a family, with a lift from the main saloon to the sundeck and the whole boat, her tenders and her flats boat included, set up for a wheelchair, so a guest who cannot manage stairs shares every deck and goes ashore with the rest of the party for the week of her hire.
