Kings Lair Superyacht

Two tenders travel with Kings Lair, a 37ft Axopar chase boat and a 17ft Williams jet tender, and her layout runs to the same scale, with a skylounge as a second sitting room to the main deck. RWD drew her exterior and Bonetti / Kozerski Architecture her interior, and she is a 112ft (34m) Benetti superyacht built in 2023.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers work at zero speed as well as under way, so there is less roll whether she is lying at anchor or on passage between her grounds. The hull is GRP and a displacement design, and two MTU engines give a cruising speed of 14 knots with a top speed of 18 knots for when there is distance to cover.

On deck

A swimming pool on deck gives a swim without leaving her, the swim platform puts the sea a single step away, and a golf deck leaves room for a swing. Her SeaRaft inflatable dock goes over the side as a floating platform to swim from, which turns the water around her into more space to use.

Water toys

Ten toys go with her. Two Seadoo jet skis mean two riders out at the same time, two paddleboards put two paddlers on the water at their own pace, and a two-person Jobe towable runs behind the Axopar, which is rigged as a tow tender. Two Seabobs, an e-foil and an Awake Shadow jetboard travel aboard as well, and deep-sea fishing tackle and snorkelling gear round out the ten.

Where she cruises

Nassau in the Bahamas is her home port, and from there Kings Lair works the USA and both the British Virgin Islands and the USVI. St Barths, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis and the Grenadines are in her grounds too. A yacht charter aboard her can therefore stay within the Bahamas or take in the Caribbean.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests, between them a king bed, a queen, a double and two cabins with twin beds, with the two VIP staterooms set port and starboard. Twelve can be aboard by day, and December with January to March are her peak months. Eight crew look after the ten who sleep aboard, so the ratio comes close to a crew member for every guest.

Charter notes

Kings Lair suits two couples or a family and is hired by the week, and for an event she can take fifty guests aboard, so a gathering need not stop at the ten who sleep aboard her.
