DT78 Motor Yacht

Twelve people can be aboard DT78 for a day on the water, and fishing tackle travels with her, so a line can go over the side. She is a 78ft (23m) Azimut motor yacht built in 2024, and the day figure is the number to hold on to, because it is larger than the party she sleeps.

Where she cruises

Miami, in the USA, is her home port, and from there she works the waters of the USA and the Bahamas, so a booking can stay in home waters or take in the Bahamas as well.

Accommodation and crew

Eight guests sleep aboard in four cabins – a queen, two doubles and a twin – and one crew member looks after both the boat and the people on her, a single pair of hands for the whole party. Air conditioning keeps the interior cool and Wi-Fi keeps phones connected.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers steady her whether she is lying still or making way, so there is less roll at anchor and on passage alike. She cruises at 28 knots, with 34 in hand when distance needs covering, and she works a year-round season, December through March and May through August being her peak.

On deck

A swim platform sits at water level, so getting into the sea and back aboard is a step rather than a climb.

Water toys

A 13ft Williams Jet Tender takes the party ashore, and snorkelling kit travels with DT78 too, so the water under her can be looked at as well as swum in.

Charter notes

For a family staying aboard or a party of friends out for the day, DT78 works as a hire in either shape: she is offered as a day charter, with a three-day minimum, or for a full week.
