Spysea Motor Yacht

Two of Spysea's four cabins carry queen beds and the other two have twin beds set side by side, with three bathrooms shared between them, so a party that mixes couples with pairs who would rather not share a bed has a cabin to fit each. She is a 70ft (21m) Azimut motor yacht built in 2023.

On deck

Her flybridge is laid out with sun loungers and there is a second sunbed lounge on the foredeck, which gives two open decks for lying in the sun. Shaded seating under a bimini top and a wet bar with a fridge keep a cold drink close to hand and out of the glare, and the aft deck carries an alfresco dining area so meals can be taken in the open air. Inside, the salon has panoramic windows that keep the water in view from indoors, and a fully equipped galley means the cooking is done aboard.

Water toys

A 40hp tender takes guests ashore, snorkelling gear is carried for looking beneath the surface, and a floating mat gives swimmers somewhere to stretch out on the water itself. Her swim platform makes getting into the sea and back aboard easy.

Where she cruises

Spysea's home port is Miami in the USA, and she works the USA, the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos. Florida and the Keys and Nassau in the Bahamas are among the waters she reaches, which gives her guests three cruising grounds to choose between from a single home port.

Accommodation and crew

Eight guests sleep aboard, and a captain and a steward make up a crew of two, her busiest months falling in December, January, February and March and again from May through August. Between them the captain runs the boat and the steward looks after the guests, and Wi-Fi, streaming TV and a Bluetooth sound system mean the party's own programmes and music come aboard with it.

Comfort under way

Spysea cruises at 27 knots and has 32 in hand, so she covers water quickly when the party wants to move on, and air conditioning throughout keeps the interior cool.

Charter notes

She suits a family or a group of friends, and she is offered by the week, for three days, by the day and by the half day, with no off-season. On a day hire she carries up to thirteen, so the party on the water can be wider than the group that sleeps aboard.
