For the peak December–February summer season, booking six to nine months ahead is strongly recommended, particularly over the Christmas–New Year window and during the Auckland Anniversary Day regatta (January). The shoulder months of November and March offer superb conditions with broader vessel availability and can often be arranged four to five months in advance.
The base rate covers the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and standard on-board equipment including the tender and snorkelling gear. Fuel, provisions, beverages, marina fees, and any excursions are funded through the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), set at 30–35% of the charter fee. New Zealand GST at 15% applies to the base rate, and any unspent APA is refunded at the end of the voyage.
