Triple 888 Motor Yacht

Scuba equipment and a dive compressor travel with Triple 888, so tanks can be refilled on board rather than ashore. She is a 100ft (30m) Horizon motor yacht, built in 2008 and refitted in 2020.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Nadi in Fiji, and she cruises the waters of Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep eight guests: a king bed in the full-beam master amidships, a queen in the VIP forward, and twin beds in the two cabins to port and starboard, each with its own bathroom and entertainment screen. Crew berths lie aft on the lower deck and have a separate entrance. Four crew for eight guests works out at a hand for every pair aboard.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 14 knots and runs to 20 when there is distance to cover, her busiest months being December, January and February. Air conditioning keeps the cabins cool and Wi-Fi keeps the group in touch.

On deck

A large sundeck, part of it covered, holds a jacuzzi ringed with sunpads, while a bar and barbecue sit beneath the hard top, so food and drink stay in the open air.

Water toys

A 36ft Gulf Craft tender takes guests ashore. The pair of jet skis covers two riders at a time, three paddleboards give a quiet way to cross an anchorage, and water skis, a wakeboard and towables handle the faster side of things, with snorkelling gear for shallow water.

Charter notes

Triple 888 suits a family or friends who dive, and she is available for hire by the week, over three days or for a single day, with room for twelve aboard so more of the group can join for a day on the water.
