Baglietto Yacht Charter

Pietro Baglietto started building dinghies and small fishing boats behind his house on the Ligurian coast at Varazze in 1854. He launched a 7.5m racing cutter called Rosy in 1876, built a pleasure boat for Pope Leo XIII in 1888, and had a regatta champion in Miss Mary by 1891. Not many yards can point to a run like that.

About the shipyard

Much of the twentieth century went into fast military craft, which is why the yachts have always leaned towards performance and why the seagull on the bow is one of the oldest marks in the industry. The Gavio family took ownership in 2012.

The modern yard at La Spezia splits its output cleanly, and the distinction matters when you are choosing one: the steel T-Line is built for transoceanic range, the aluminium DOM series is explorer-styled and optimised for volume, and the Fast and Superfast projects are where the military hull heritage still shows most directly.
