Rock 13 Superyacht
About Rock 13
Ira Petromanolaki designed the interior of Rock 13, and the five cabins a guest settles into for the week are her work. She is a 135ft (41m) Baglietto superyacht, built in 2004 and refitted in 2020.
Accommodation and crew
Ten guests sleep aboard, in a king cabin, three queen cabins and a twin with two single beds, and by day her guest count is the same ten. Nine crew look after them, which comes to very nearly a crew member for each guest.
Comfort under way
Her engines draw 700 litres of fuel an hour when she is moving. The stabilisers are of the zero-speed type: they act while she lies still at anchor and just as much while she is making way, and a guest feels less roll in either case.
On deck
The deck jacuzzi puts warm water in the open air, and a swim platform gives a low step straight into the sea. She also carries a gym, so a training habit does not have to pause for the week, and a cinema, so a film can be shown aboard.
Water toys
A 17ft Williams Jet tender carries guests ashore. Two Seadoo jet skis take two riders at a time, four Seabobs travel with her, four paddleboards let four paddle together, and a single Jetsurf Radinn rides alongside them. Water skis and a wakeboard are there for towing, a water slide gives a quicker way into the sea, and she carries kit for fishing and snorkelling.
Where she cruises
Her home port is Monte Carlo in Monaco, and Rock 13 works the coasts of Monaco, France and Italy, which puts the harbours of neighbouring countries in reach from a single base.
Charter notes
Rock 13 is chartered by the week, with five days the shortest hire she takes, and her peak falls in July and August. She suits two couples or a family, and at a 21-knot cruise, with 29 knots in reserve, the miles between two stops go by quickly.
