YL Six Motor Yacht

Two Seabobs come aboard YL Six, a 40ft (12m) Tesoro motor yacht delivered in 2022, and she is run by a crew of two – a crew member for every two guests who stay the night.

Comfort under way

A pair of Volvo Penta diesels carry her at 30 knots, with 45 knots available, so an anchorage further along is no great undertaking. Her roof pillars are built into the bulwarks as a single piece with the hull, which makes her stable and leaves the deck clear and open.

On deck

At the stern the dinette table converts to extend the solarium into a wide sunbed, and a large swim platform with a boarding ladder puts the sea a step below. Teak is laid through the cockpit and across the deck, a bimini and a cockpit cover take the glare off, the side panels open, and underwater lights bring the water around her into view.

Water toys

Two paddleboards let a pair of guests work along the shallows at their own pace, and snorkelling gear is aboard for a proper look at what lies under the surface.

Where she cruises

YL Six calls Mykonos home and cruises the waters of Greece, at her busiest in July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins sleep four: a master with a king bed and a twin. Hull windows and a cabin skylight keep the interior bright and well aired. By day she takes ten aboard, more than twice the number who stay the night.

Charter notes

YL Six can be hired for a full day or a half day, and she suits two couples especially well, with a cabin apiece and the waters of Greece to swim in.
