A yacht charter in Antibes begins at the heart of the Riviera’s yachting world, Port Vauban, Europe’s largest marina, where superyachts dock beneath the ramparts of a 16th-century Vauban fortress and the old town’s Provençal market overflows with socca pancakes, tapenades, and armfuls of sunflowers. Consider your group size, preferred pace, and planned itinerary. A 68’-78’ motor yacht suits couples or small groups who want manoeuvrability along the coast, while a superyacht above 100’ offers expansive deck space for entertaining and a full suite of water toys. Your Boatcrowd broker can match the right vessel to your priorities and travel style.
Antibes sits at the centre of the Riviera, making it an ideal base for wider exploration. Cannes and the Îles de Lérins are a short morning cruise to the west, while Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and Monaco lie to the east. A week-long charter comfortably covers Antibes to Saint-Tropez, or Antibes to the Italian border and back.
The Advance Provisioning Allowance for Antibes-based charters typically runs 25 to 30% of the base charter fee. It covers fuel, food and beverages, marina fees, and incidental expenses throughout your voyage. Your captain maintains a transparent accounting of all spending, and any remaining balance is refunded at the end of the charter.
For peak season in July and August, book at least six to eight months ahead, Port Vauban is the Riviera’s principal superyacht hub and the best vessels are reserved early. Shoulder-season weeks in May, June, or September can often be confirmed three to four months out, frequently with lower rates and more flexible scheduling.
The Cap d’Antibes peninsula, just south of the port, shelters some of the most exclusive swimming coves on the coast, the Sentier du Littoral footpath traces the headland at water level, but the best approach is by tender, slipping into sheltered bays inaccessible from the road above. Boatcrowd lists motor yachts from 68’ to 98’, superyachts above 100’, and luxury catamarans from 55’ for Antibes charters, drawing from France’s fleet of over 200 vessels with additional yachts visiting from across the Mediterranean throughout the season.
Peak season runs July through August, when Port Vauban and the neighbouring Port Gallice are at their most vibrant; May, June, and September offer warm seas, easier berthing, and lower rates that make Antibes one of the Riviera’s best-value embarkation points. Charter rates start from €4,200 per day on a catamaran, from €4,900 per day on a 68’-78’ motor yacht, and from €13,900 per day on a superyacht above 100’, plus French TVA and APA. Antibes is where serious yachting infrastructure meets old-town charm, no other Riviera port blends the two quite so seamlessly.
