Male IV Motor Yacht
About Male IV
Twin Volvo IPS drives give Male IV a top speed of 27 knots and a 20-knot cruise, at 220 litres of fuel an hour, drives of that kind making her easy to place in a tight berth. She is a 68ft (21m) motor yacht from Prestige Yachts, delivered in 2020, on a hull drawn by J&J Design.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins sleep eight guests overnight, and sixteen can be aboard by day. The master has a king bed and the VIP a queen, each with its own bathroom, while the two twin cabins have single beds that join into doubles and suit children or extra guests. A crew of two runs her.
Comfort under way
A stabiliser tones down the motion that brings on seasickness, so there is less roll to settle against when she is moving.
On deck
A dining table on the aft deck seats the group for dinner outside, and cushioned sunpads cover the foredeck. Stairs lead up to the sport flybridge, where forward-facing seats for four turn into sunpads and a large table sits at the back; the mini galley there has a built-in electric grill, so food can be cooked in the open air.
Water toys
Her toys include a Seabob, a paddleboard, a wakeboard and a towable donut for a pull behind the boat. The swim platform gives a low step into the sea, and the 13ft tender runs guests ashore.
Where she cruises
Her home port is Antibes in France, and she cruises the coast of France and the waters of Monaco.
Charter notes
Male IV suits a family or a group of friends, and she is offered for day hire as well as by the week, July and August her peak months, so a party larger than she sleeps can come aboard for the day.
