Contigo Superyacht

A methanol fuel cell system, paired with Siemens energy technology, supplies power aboard Contigo, and the result is quiet cruising. She is a 164ft (50m) Sanlorenzo 50Steel superyacht built in 2024, her exterior drawn by Zuccon International Project and her interior by Piero Lissoni in dark woods and spare detailing.

Water toys

Two boats travel with her: a 16m Wajer 55 chase boat for longer runs away from the yacht, and a 7m Castoldi 23 jet tender that handles the trips ashore. Twelve toys come aboard as well. Two Taiga jet skis put two riders on the water at a time, four Seabob F5SRs and an e-foil join them, the water skis and wakeboard are towed astern, and two paddleboards and the canoes give a slower way across the surface, with snorkelling gear for what lies beneath it. Bikes and scooters take over once ashore.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Gustavia in St Barths. The Caribbean side of her range takes in Anguilla, St Martin and St Barths itself, the British Virgin Islands and the USVI, and St Kitts and Nevis. Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia, the Grenadines and the Bahamas fall within it as well. Across the Atlantic she works Monaco, France, Italy, Malta and Spain, which means her guests have coastline on both sides of the ocean to choose between.

Accommodation and crew

Ten guests sleep in five cabins: a master suite with a king bed, a private office, two dressing rooms and its own bathroom, two VIP cabins with queen beds, and two twin cabins, with two pullman berths beyond those, and by day she can carry twelve. Eleven crew run her for those ten guests, which puts more crew than guests aboard, and her peak months fall in December through to March and again in July and August.

Comfort under way

Contigo carries stabilisers rated for zero speed and for passage alike, so the roll is damped when she is stopped and again when she is moving. She holds 13 knots at cruising speed and can push to 16.

On deck

The upper deck saloon and dining area run straight out onto the sundeck, where a pool built on two levels has the sea on every side, and a second pool gives her two in all. Fold-out terraces add to her deck area, a mezzanine-style formal dining room sits on her mid deck, and a deck jacuzzi rounds off the outdoor spaces. Inside, a gym converts to a massage room with a folding massage table, and a spa and sauna go with it, so a workout or a massage is possible without leaving her.

Charter notes

Contigo suits a family or two couples who hire her by the week. At anchor her Ocean Lounge opens out into a beach club at water level, so a swim begins at the yacht's own waterline rather than after a climb down her side.
