This Is It Superyacht

Mattia Piro, together with Gian Marco Campanino, finished the interior of This Is It in beige and platinum, picked out with gold, bronze, titanium and carbon against oak, teak, leather and Alcantara, while the Centro Stile studio of The Italian Sea Group drew her exterior in soft, curving lines that lean towards architecture ashore. She is a Tecnomar superyacht of 143ft (44m), delivered in 2024 and glazed floor to ceiling, so daylight and the sea reach the rooms behind the glass.

Comfort under way

Two MTU diesels give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and 17 knots at the top, at a fuel burn of 700 litres an hour. She is a catamaran built in aluminium, and her two hulls set wide apart are what give her the floor space of the decks above.

On deck

Floor-to-ceiling doors open the main lounge onto an exterior lounge with a bar, a games area, a table for formal dining and a swimming pool, so the way from inside to the pool is a step through an open door. On the upper deck a spa with its own treatment area sits with a sauna, a sensorial shower and a playroom that converts into a further guest cabin. A deck jacuzzi gives somewhere to soak outdoors, and a beach club with a swim platform puts guests at the water's edge.

Water toys

Seventeen toys go with her, and a Technohull Alpha 50 chase boat runs guests ashore. Two GTX2 jet skis in Titanium Black mean two riders out at once, berthed on their own Searaft double jet-ski dock, and four Seabob F5s go in the water too. A Searaft leisure dock carries a netted sea pool to swim in. Two Jobe Vanity wakeboards, a kneeboard and the Binar and Hotseat towables are pulled behind, two SUP boards and an inflatable kayak for two are paddled, and an e-foil rounds out the count.

Where she cruises

Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates is her home port and Monte Carlo her second base, which puts the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea within her range as well as the Mediterranean. From the Gulf side of the United Arab Emirates she reaches Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. In the Mediterranean she cruises Greece, Croatia, France and Monaco. Italy is on her list as well, and there Sardinia and Sicily give her coastline to anchor along.

Accommodation and crew

Six ensuite cabins sleep twelve guests, and twelve is also her limit by day, with her diary at its fullest from November through to March. A crew of twelve looks after them, a crew member for every guest aboard.

Charter notes

This Is It suits two couples or a family, up to twelve in the party, and whoever takes the owner's suite on a hire of her has a large skylight overhead, a panoramic terrace of their own to step out onto and a vertical garden that climbs through two decks.
