Home Superyacht
About Home
Heesen built Home on a Van Oossanen FDHF hull with hybrid propulsion, so under way there is less noise and vibration aboard and she covers her miles economically. She is a 164ft (50m) superyacht, delivered in 2017 and refitted in 2025, with exterior lines by Omega Architects and an Ibiza-inspired interior by Cristiano Gatto lit through full-length windows.
On deck
Her sun deck puts sun, shade, a drink and a soak on the same level: loungers forward behind glass screens, a sit-up bar, a shaded lounge and a jacuzzi aft. The upper deck aft has room to dine in the open air. The beach club is a shaded lounge, half indoors and half out, that opens onto a large swim platform, so the sea is a few steps away, and twin bucket seats on the bow give a place to sit right at the front and watch the water go by while she is moving.
Water toys
Two tenders travel with Home, a 44' Fjord Open chase boat and a 39' Technohull Explorer, so two parties can be away from her at once. Two Seadoo GTX jet skis, two Seabob F9S and two e-foils each put a pair of riders out at a time, three kitesurf rigs and two wingsurf sets cover the wind sports, and water skis, two Jobe wakeboards, a towable couch and a banana are for towing; snorkelling equipment and fishing gear are aboard as well.
Where she cruises
Gustavia in St Barths is her home port, and only a single yacht of the seventeen based there is longer. From St Barths she cruises St Martin, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, the USVI and St Kitts and Nevis. Antigua and Barbuda and the Bahamas are on her list too, with bays to anchor in and beaches to go ashore on. In the Mediterranean she works France, Italy, Spain, Monaco and Malta.
Accommodation and crew
Six cabins sleep twelve guests: a king bed in the full-beam master on the main deck, with its dressing room, an office and an en suite holding both a bath and a shower, then three doubles in the full-beam VIP and two double cabins on the lower deck, and two twins. Nine crew look after the twelve.
Comfort under way
Stabilisers take the roll out of her, and she cruises at 13 knots with 17 knots available; her peak comes in December, January, February and March and then again in July and August.
Charter notes
Home was laid out with families in mind, and a family or two couples travelling together can take her on hire by the week or for three days. For divers she carries seven sets of diving gear and a dive compressor, so seven can dive at once and the tanks are refilled on board.
