French Motor Yacht

The 2023 refit is the most recent work on French, a 78ft (24m) motor yacht that Galeon built in 2018.

Water toys

The water kit is short and useful: a jet ski, a Seabob and snorkelling gear, so time in the water can be fast or quiet, and the 12ft tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Dubai is her home port, on the United Arab Emirates coast. From there she reaches the rest of the United Arab Emirates as well as Bahrain, Qatar and Oman, which puts more than a single country's shoreline within her range.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins take eight guests overnight – a king, a double and a pair of twins – and three crew run her. Air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi aboard mean cool cabins and a group that can stay in touch.

Comfort under way

French cruises at 16 knots with 23 knots in hand, and her peak months are January, February, November and December; that pace keeps an anchorage further along the coast within easy reach.

On deck

Her swim platform turns getting into the sea and back out again into a step rather than a climb.

French suits a family or a group of friends who would rather spend the days swimming and heading ashore than covering distance, and with 15 able to be aboard by day, the hire has room for people who are not staying the night.
