Astra Motor Yacht

A jet ski rides with Astra, and it sets the tone for the rest of her: this 76ft (23m) motor yacht, built by Walker in 2022, is made for getting into the water.

Where she cruises

Dubai is her home port, and she works the coastline of the United Arab Emirates as well as Bahrain and Qatar, which gives a group three countries of coast rather than United Arab Emirates water alone.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep four guests, and a crew of three runs her, which comes close to a crew member for each guest aboard.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 14 knots with 20 knots available, so a move to another anchorage is a short business, and air conditioning throughout keeps the interior cool, her season peaking across November, December, January and February.

On deck

Astra's swim platform puts guests at water level, so getting in for a swim and back out again asks very little.

Water toys

Five toys travel with her: the banana boat and the donut ride are there for riders who want to be towed along, snorkelling gear covers time spent under the surface, and a 13ft tender handles trips ashore, so nothing needs hiring once ashore.

Charter notes

She suits two couples, a cabin apiece and karaoke aboard when the group wants to make its own entertainment; by day she can carry as many as 45 people, so the same yacht charter also works for a far larger gathering on the water.
