For the peak November to May dry season, six to eight months’ lead time is advisable, particularly over the Christmas and Sinulog festival periods when demand peaks. Shoulder-month departures in June or October can often be arranged with three to four months’ notice at more competitive rates and with broader vessel selection.
The Advance Provisioning Allowance is typically 30 to 35% of the base charter fee, covering fuel, food, beverages, port charges, and any excursion costs arranged through the crew. Manila’s central location means provisioning is exceptional, fresh seafood from Navotas fish market, premium imported wines, and specialist dietary requirements are all easily sourced. Any unspent APA is refunded after the charter.
