Malibu Motor Yacht
About Malibu
Of the two yachts based at her home port, Malibu is the longer, and she is the only Abacus Marine on our books: a 74ft (23m) motor yacht built in 2008.
Where she cruises
Boracay is where she keeps her berth, and she works the Philippines through the year, January to March and December being her busiest months.
Accommodation and crew
Her four cabins are made up as two doubles and six singles, beds for eight overnight, and twelve can come along when she goes out for the day. Three crew run her, and the friends who are not staying the night can still be part of the day on the water.
Comfort under way
She holds 28 knots as a cruise with 34 in hand, which means a bay further off is a realistic choice rather than a long haul. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are aboard, so the inside stays cool and the group stays contactable.
On deck
Her swim platform puts the sea a single step down, which makes getting in and climbing back out easy for strong swimmers and hesitant ones alike.
Water toys
A beach tender runs people ashore, and a kayak and snorkelling gear travel with her, so a quiet stretch of water can be paddled across or studied from the surface with a mask.
Charter notes
Malibu suits a family or a group of friends who would rather spend their time in the Philippines on the water than in transit. Day and three-day hire are both offered, so a group can take her out for a single outing or for three days together.
