Dallinghoo Motor Sailer

Scuba diving gear and fishing tackle count among the six toys aboard Dallinghoo, which means guests who want to be under the water and those who want to fish are both looked after. She is a 98ft (30m) motor sailer from S.A. Pritchard, launched in 1990 and refitted in 2015.

Where she cruises

El Nido, in the Philippines, is her home port; of the three yachts kept there, none is longer. Her cruising reaches beyond the Philippines to Malaysia, so a trip need not stay inside a single country's waters.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep eight guests and a crew of four runs her, a crew member for every two guests aboard. The cabins are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi reaches throughout.

Comfort under way

Dallinghoo cruises at 7 knots and makes 13 at most, so the water between anchorages passes slowly rather than in a rush.

Water toys

A beach tender runs people ashore, and the SUP boards and the kayak come out for paddling near the boat. Snorkelling gear is aboard for anyone who would rather stay at the surface than dive.

Charter notes

Dallinghoo can be hired by the week, for three days or for a single day, December to March being her busiest months. A family or a group of friends fits her best, divers among them, and by day she can carry twelve, which opens her up to a bigger party than her cabins hold.
