S7 Superyacht

Electric stabilisers that work at zero speed and under way are the first thing to know about S7: they take the roll out of a night at anchor and out of a passage alike. She comes from the Tansu Mothership Series with Dutch engineering behind her, a 128ft (39m) superyacht delivered in 2016 and one of only four yachts from her builder that Boatcrowd lists.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Exuma in the Bahamas and she keeps a second base at Monte Carlo, so the same boat can be booked in the Mediterranean as well as in the Bahamas and the Caribbean. From Exuma her waters take in the USVI, the British Virgin Islands, St Barths and the Grenadines. Monte Carlo puts France, Italy, Spain, Malta and Greece within her reach.

Accommodation and crew

Five en suite cabins sleep ten guests overnight: a full-beam master with an office, his-and-hers bathrooms and a central rain shower, two VIP staterooms and two twins, all finished in the same pared-back style. By day she carries up to twelve with a crew of six to look after them, and her high season falls in January, February and March, in July and August and in December.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 9 knots and can reach 16, a hydraulic system built to cut noise and vibration keeps her quiet as she moves, and electric thrusters make her easy to bring alongside.

On deck

The long, open aft deck in the explorer style gives a group a great deal of room to lie in the sun, to exercise or to put the toys in the water. The sundeck has a central bar under a roof that retracts, wide views and big sun pads, while the main deck's large matching tables sit in full shade, so eating outside means eating out of the sun. Her refit brought a beach club to the boat deck and an outdoor screen that turns the aft end of the bridge deck into a cinema, and a netted pool lets the party float in the sea itself.

Water toys

A 39ft Novamarine tender carries the party ashore. Two Fliteboard e-foils, two Seabob F5 SRs and two Sea-Doo Spark Trixx jet skis each put two riders on the water at a time, three paddleboards suit a slower pace, and a wakeboard, a pair of water skis and a towable sofa go behind the tender. Kitesurfing equipment travels with her along with a qualified instructor who teaches beginners as well as riders wanting to improve.

Charter notes

For a week's hire S7 suits two couples or a family, since three of her cabins are doubles and two are twins. She can also host up to 100 guests for an event, so the ten who sleep aboard can bring a far larger circle on board for a celebration.
