Orange Motor Yacht

Stabilisers are the first thing you notice aboard Orange, or rather the first thing you stop noticing, since they take the roll out of the ride. She is a Princess motor yacht of 54ft (16m), built in 2018.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests, two of them with doubles and the third with twin beds, all air-conditioned, and there is Wi-Fi aboard for anyone who has to stay reachable. Three crew run her, which works out at a crew member for every pair of guests, and for a day on the water twelve can come aboard.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 18 knots with 25 knots in reserve, so covering water takes little out of the day.

On deck

The swim platform puts the sea a step below you rather than over a rail, which makes getting in and out of the water straightforward for everyone aboard.

Water toys

Her 11ft tender handles the trips ashore, and snorkelling kit is carried for anyone who wants a look below the surface.

Where she cruises

Phuket is Orange's home port, and she cruises the waters of Thailand, at her busiest from December through to March.

Charter notes

Orange works for a family or a group of friends, and she takes a single day's hire as readily as three days aboard in Thailand, which leaves a group free to choose a short trip on the water rather than a long one.
