Thailand Itineraries: Multi-Day Yacht Charter Across Thailand
Thailand’s cruising grounds reward both the long weekend and the extended voyage. The country-level itineraries below showcase the best of both coasts – a 10-day and 7-day Andaman exploration from Phuket, and a 5-day Gulf of Thailand circuit from Koh Samui. Each is designed by Boatcrowd’s charter specialists and fully customisable to your group’s interests, pace and the conditions on the day.
10-Day Thailand Yacht Charter Itinerary: Grand Andaman Voyage from Phuket
Guests with more time can extend this itinerary south from Koh Rok to Koh Lipe and the Tarutao National Marine Park, adding three to four days for a truly comprehensive Andaman voyage.
Day 1: Phuket to Phang Nga Bay
Board your yacht at Ao Po Grand Marina and cruise north into Phang Nga Bay, weaving through towering limestone karsts to anchor near James Bond Island (Khao Phing Kan) for a sundowner beneath the iconic 20-metre needle of Khao Ta Pu.
Day 2: Phang Nga Bay – Koh Hong and Sea Caves
Spend the morning kayaking through the tidal sea caves of Koh Hong, emerging into secret mangrove lagoons encircled by vertical cliff walls, then cruise to Koh Panyee – a stilted Muslim fishing village built over the water – for a seafood lunch.
Day 3: Phang Nga Bay to Krabi and Railay Beach
Cross Phang Nga Bay to Ao Nang (roughly 30 nautical miles from Phuket), anchor off Railay Beach – accessible only by water, its sheer karst backdrop one of Thailand’s most photographed shores – and take the tender in for a swim and clifftop sundowners.
Day 4: Krabi’s Four Islands and South to Koh Phi Phi Don
Explore Krabi’s four-island group (Koh Poda, Chicken Island, Tup Island and Phra Nang Cave Beach) in the morning, then cruise south roughly 20 nautical miles to Tonsai Bay on Koh Phi Phi Don for an overnight anchorage.
Day 5: Koh Phi Phi Leh – Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Viking Cave
Arrive at Maya Bay at first light before the crowds, snorkel the Pileh Lagoon’s 500-metre reef surrounded by towering limestone, and cruise past Viking Cave where thousands of swiftlets nest in the cavernous interior.
Day 6: Bamboo Island and South to Koh Lanta
Morning snorkel at Bamboo Island’s pristine coral garden (the finest reef in the Phi Phi group, 25-metre visibility), then set course south to Koh Lanta for an afternoon exploring its white-sand western beaches and jungle-backed bays.
Day 7: Koh Lanta to Koh Haa – Cathedral Cavern Dive
Cruise to the Koh Haa archipelago for a morning dive through the cathedral cavern (opening at 14 metres, exceptional visibility), then enjoy a quiet afternoon anchorage among the five uninhabited limestone islands.
Day 8: Koh Rok – Pristine Coral and Honeymoon Beaches
Continue south to Koh Rok’s twin islands, where pristine coral reefs meet white-sand beaches in a marine park setting with very few other visitors – the kind of place your crew sets up a private beach lunch with no other footprints in sight.
Day 9: Koh Rok to Racha Islands via Phi Phi
Begin the return north, pausing at a Phi Phi anchorage you may have missed, then cruise to Koh Racha Yai (roughly 6.5 nautical miles south of Phuket) for a final afternoon of diving and snorkelling over clear-water reefs.
Day 10: Racha Islands to Phuket
A morning snorkel at Koh Racha Noi (13.5 nautical miles south of Phuket, manta ray territory in season), then a relaxed cruise back to Ao Po Grand Marina in time for a farewell lunch on the aft deck.
