Rio Superyacht

Rio belongs to Horizon's FD90 series, a 90ft (27m) superyacht with a GRP hull, an interior drawn by Cor D. Rover and twin CAT C18A diesels.

Comfort under way

Stabilisers hold her steady at anchor as well as under way, and the fast displacement hull settles her at an 11-knot cruise, with 18 knots in reserve.

On deck

She has four separate places to eat outdoors: aft on the main deck an extendable table sits under a canopy, while the upper deck has its own alfresco table with low settees alongside. Forward, a Jacuzzi among sunpads and a curved settee works at anchor and under way. Open the transom and the swim platform turns into a beach club with a wet bar, a step from the water.

Water toys

Two Seabobs, a Fliteboard and two stand-up paddleboards are aboard, plus a Tiwal inflatable sailboat, a towable tube, snorkelling gear and fishing and spearfishing tackle, so two guests can take the paddleboards out together.

Where she cruises

Rio's home port is Nassau in the Bahamas, and her grounds run through the Bahamas and across to Turks and Caicos, with an 18ft Zodiac and its T-top putting guests ashore at out-of-the-way beaches and coves.

Accommodation and crew

Five staterooms, each with an ensuite, make up the accommodation, the full-beam primary on the main deck and four more below. A king below converts to twins and the twin stateroom carries a Pullman berth, so the sleeping plan can suit a family or friends. Five guests sleep aboard and twelve can be on board for the day, with a crew of four, close to a crew member each overnight.

Charter notes

Rio is available for hire by the week or from three days, her calendar at its fullest in December and from January through March; scuba gear and a dive compressor travel with her, so tanks are filled on board.
