Rising Dawn Superyacht
About Rising Dawn
Zero-speed stabilisers are fitted to Rising Dawn, so the roll a hull picks up while she lies at anchor is damped out before it reaches her guests, and that is the fact about her that most changes how a night on board feels. She is a 141ft (43m) superyacht built by Gulf Craft in 2022.
Comfort under way
The stabilisers keep working once she is moving, and she cruises at 15 knots with 17 knots as her top speed, which means a passage is covered at a fair pace on a deck that holds level.
On deck
A swim platform brings the sea up to deck level, so the step into the water is short and the climb back out takes no effort.
Water toys
Six toys travel with Rising Dawn. Two Yamaha Wave Runners put two riders on the water at the same time, two sets of water skis and two towable tubes are there to be towed, and she carries what is needed for fishing and for snorkelling. Her tender is a 34ft Grady White, the boat that takes guests ashore.
Where she cruises
Her home port is Papagayo in Costa Rica, and she works the coasts of Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and Belize, four countries she can reach from that base.
Accommodation and crew
Twelve guests sleep in six cabins – a king, three queens and two twins – and twelve is also her limit by day, so the group that sleeps aboard is the whole group aboard. Nine crew look after them, with December through to March the busiest stretch of her year.
Charter notes
For a week's yacht charter Rising Dawn suits two couples or a family, the cabin mix giving both a bed layout that fits, and she can be hired for an event with 80 guests aboard when the occasion asks for more than twelve.
