Long Island Motor Sailer

An E-foil travels with Long Island, a 127ft (39m) motor sailer built by Fethiye Shipyard in 2019 and given a refit in 2022.

Where she cruises

Long Island's home port is Bodrum, and she works the coast of Turkey and crosses to Greece, the Dodecanese well within her range, so a group can swim and go ashore in two countries.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests, a master with a king bed, three doubles and a twin, and twelve can be aboard for a day on the water. Six crew look after the ten, which leaves more than a crew member for every two guests, and the cabins are air-conditioned with Wi-Fi reaching through the yacht.

Comfort under way

Twin IVECO engines move her at 11 knots, with 15 knots in hand when there is ground to cover, and a draft of 3 m lets her lie close in to a beach.

On deck

Her swim platform makes the step between the deck and the sea a short and easy movement.

Water toys

Two tenders come with the hire, a 13ft service boat and a second set up for watersports, which is what tows the banana and the ringo. A jet ski, a Seabob, two SUP boards, a kayak and water skis account for the rest, with snorkelling and fishing gear aboard.

Charter notes

Long Island answers well to two couples travelling together or to a family, and she can be chartered by the week or for stays of at least three days, July and August her peak months, which opens her to a short trip as readily as a longer stay.
