About Gioia

Two tenders travel with Gioia, a 38ft Intrepid chase boat and a 20ft Williams jet tender, so two groups can leave for the shore at the same moment. She is a 141ft (43m) superyacht from Codecasa, built in Italy in 2024, and her cabin plan puts the master suite on the main deck with the other cabins below it.

Accommodation and crew

Twelve guests sleep in five cabins. The master has a central king bed, a sitting area of its own, a dressing room and a bathroom lined in marble, while below there are two doubles and two twins, each with an en suite, plus two pullman berths. A crew of nine looks after the twelve, so there are almost as many people working the boat as there are guests aboard.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers work at zero speed as well as under way, so she rolls less both at anchor and on passage. Twin Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16, and she uses 250 litres of fuel an hour.

On deck

The sun deck is the most generous part of the layout: the jacuzzi is raised above the sun pads around it, a shaded lounge lies a few steps lower and a sit-up bar serves the whole level. On the bridge deck the aft end carries an outdoor dining area and deep sofas, and the sky lounge, a snug room with windows all round, opens straight out onto it. The main deck lounge has a bar and seating of its own, the foredeck has the widest view on the boat, and the swim platform puts guests a step from the water.

Water toys

Ten toys come along – a Waverunner jet ski, two Seabobs, an e-foil, two stand-up paddleboards, water skis, a wakeboard, inflatable tows and snorkelling gear – so two can paddle off together while the skis, board and tows are for being pulled at speed.

Where she cruises

Gioia keeps her home port at Monte Carlo in Monaco, and her Mediterranean charters begin in the South of France, Monaco or Corsica. From there she covers Italy, Malta and Spain, and the islands of Sardinia, Ibiza and Mallorca give her coves and beaches to anchor off. She also works St Barths, St Martin, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda and the Grenadines.

Charter notes

Gioia is available to hire for a week or for a minimum of three days, her busiest months running from December into March and returning in July and August. She fits two couples or a family well, because each of her three decks has a lounge of its own, and a party of twelve is never short of a room to gather in.
