About Gioia
A crew of nine for twelve guests is the number that tells you how Gioia is meant to be lived aboard, fully staffed and unhurried, closer to a small hotel afloat than a private yacht run lean. Codecasa built her in 2024 at 43 metres, and she is offered for sale from Genoa.
Build and provenance
She is a Codecasa motor yacht with a full-displacement hull, built in steel with an aluminium superstructure finished in gunmetal grey and a white hull. The interior follows a modern, sleek line through the accommodation, distinct enough at a glance to set her apart from a yacht of similar length.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across five cabins, looked after by a crew of nine, close to one crew member for every guest: a ratio built for full, hands-on service rather than a lean weekend team.
Performance and engineering
Two engines rated at 3,200 hp apiece give Gioia a 12-knot cruise and a 16-knot top speed. That gap between the two numbers leaves room to press on when a schedule calls for it, while the lower figure is the pace she is built to hold over a longer run between anchorages.
Where she lies and how to see her
Gioia lies in Genoa. We arrange the viewing and are present for it, and the survey and sea trial come once an offer is accepted. She also sails in our charter fleet, so a buyer keen to spend a week aboard first can do that ahead of any purchase.

She is in our charter fleet as well as on the market, so a season can be run against her costs while she is for sale.
Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
