Shine IV Motor Yacht

A refit in 2020 brought Shine IV up to date without changing what she is at heart: a 43ft (13m) Azimut motor yacht from 2008, a flybridge boat sized for coastal cruising.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins sleep four guests overnight, and for a day on the water she can take eight, with a crew of two aboard – that is one crew member for every two guests sleeping on board. Wi-Fi runs through the boat, so the week need not be cut off from home.

Comfort under way

Twin engines give her a 21-knot cruise with 32 knots at the top, so a bay further along the coast is a short move rather than a day's work.

On deck

The flybridge adds a second deck out in the open air, and the swim platform sits at water level, so the sea is a step down rather than a jump.

Water toys

A Brig Falcon tender handles the trips ashore and tows the inflatables, and Shine IV also carries a paddleboard for working slowly round an anchorage, water polo gear and snorkelling equipment; a Seabob can be added at extra charge.

Where she cruises

Corfu is her home port, and she works the coast of Greece, with July and August her peak months.

Charter notes

Two couples are the natural party aboard, and the hire of a boat this size means Greece is met bay by bay from the water rather than from the road.
