Krabi Itineraries: Day Charters and Multi-Day Routes
Krabi’s cruising ground rewards both the quick day trip and the extended exploration. The itineraries below cover different territory, so guests looking at a 3-day and 4-day route can stitch them into a 7-day voyage without repeating a stop.
Day Charter Routes from Krabi
Four Islands Day Charter
Depart Ao Nang and cruise to Koh Poda for a morning swim, continue to Chicken Island and the low-tide sandbar connecting it to Tup Island, snorkel off the reef, then round out the day at Phra Nang Cave Beach – where a limestone grotto houses offerings to a sea goddess. Your chef serves lunch on the aft deck between stops. Return to Ao Nang as the sun paints the karsts gold.
Railay Beach and Phra Nang
A gentle half-day or full-day charter focused on Krabi’s most iconic beach. Take the tender to Railay’s pristine sand, swim beneath the towering karst cliffs, explore the Phra Nang Cave shrine, and enjoy a leisurely lunch with the yacht anchored just offshore. Ideal for guests who want a relaxed, scenic day close to base.
Hong Islands Kayak and Snorkel
Cruise north to the Hong Islands in Phang Nga Bay. Kayak through cave entrances into enclosed lagoons, snorkel over healthy reef systems, and enjoy a quiet lunch anchored among the karsts. Return to Krabi or continue into Phang Nga Bay for a sundowner near James Bond Island.
Phi Phi Islands from Krabi
One of the quickest routes to Phi Phi (30–60 minutes). Arrive early to enjoy Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon before crowds. Snorkel at Hin Klang reef, explore Tonsai Village, and hike to the famous viewpoint.
3-Day Krabi Yacht Charter Itinerary: Karsts, Caves and Islands
Day 1: Ao Nang to Railay Beach and the Four Islands
Board your yacht at Ao Nang by mid-morning. Cruise to Railay Beach for a swim and a wander along the Phra Nang Cave Beach, then continue to Koh Poda for a snorkel and lunch on the aft deck. Afternoon at Chicken Island and the Tup Island sandbar (exposed at low tide – your captain times the visit perfectly). Overnight anchorage off Koh Poda or in the sheltered waters off Railay.
Day 2: Hong Islands and Phang Nga Bay
Cruise north to the Hong Islands for a morning of kayaking through sea caves and snorkelling in the calm lagoons. Continue into Phang Nga Bay for an afternoon exploring the karsts, with a sundowner anchorage near James Bond Island. Your crew finds a secluded spot among the limestone towers for a private dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Phang Nga Bay to Tiger Cave Temple, Return to Krabi
A final morning exploring the bay’s quieter northern reaches, then cruise back to Krabi. Guests with energy can step ashore for the 1,260-step climb to Tiger Cave Temple’s summit for panoramic views. Farewell lunch on the aft deck as the yacht returns to the Ao Nang anchorage.
4-Day Krabi Yacht Charter Itinerary: Phi Phi, Bamboo Island and Koh Lanta
Day 1: Krabi to Koh Phi Phi Don
Depart Ao Nang and cruise roughly 20 nautical miles south to the Phi Phi Islands. Anchor in Tonsai Bay on Koh Phi Phi Don by lunchtime. Afternoon snorkelling at Monkey Beach, where macaques play on the shoreline and the reef drops to 8–10 metres with decent coral coverage. Evening on the aft deck watching the sun set behind the twin peaks of Phi Phi Don.
Day 2: Koh Phi Phi Leh – Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon
Early-morning arrival at Maya Bay for the quietest hour of the day. Snorkel in the crystalline shallows, then cruise to Pileh Lagoon – a turquoise pool enclosed by vertical limestone, with a 500-metre reef below. Dive the Bida Islands’ wall in the afternoon (blacktip reef sharks, turtles, schooling trevally). Return to Phi Phi Don for an overnight anchorage.
Day 3: Bamboo Island and South to Koh Lanta
Morning snorkel at Bamboo Island’s pristine coral garden – the best reef in the Phi Phi group. After a long swim, cruise south to Koh Lanta (roughly 20 nautical miles). Explore the island’s quieter western beaches and the Old Town’s stilted houses. Dinner ashore at a beachfront restaurant or on the aft deck as the stars come out.
Day 4: Koh Lanta to Koh Haa, Return to Krabi
Morning dive at Koh Haa’s cathedral cavern (opening at 14 metres, exceptional visibility), followed by a farewell gourmet lunch on the aft deck. Cruise back north to Krabi, arriving by late afternoon. Guests looking for a full week can combine this route with the 3-day Krabi itinerary for a 7-day charter covering karsts, caves, Phi Phi, Bamboo Island and Koh Lanta.
