Kati Motor Yacht

Kati carries a Seakeeper gyro stabiliser, which takes the side-to-side roll out of her both at anchor and under way. She is a 66ft (20m) motor yacht from the British builder Princess, launched in 2017.

Where she cruises

Kati's home port is Krabi, and she works the coast of Thailand the year round, with Phi Phi, the Similan islands and Lipe among the places within her reach; January, February, March and December are her busiest months. She is set up for secluded beaches and out-of-the-way lagoons.

Accommodation and crew

Three en-suite cabins sleep six: a master suite, a VIP and a twin that converts to a double, two doubles and a twin in all. A captain, a crew member and a hostess who cooks make up the three aboard, a crew member for every two guests.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 20 knots with 32 at the top end, and her shallow draft lets her lie close in to coves and sheltered bays overnight.

On deck

A hydraulic bathing platform drops to sea level, so swimmers step in and out of the water rather than climb. She makes her own fresh water and ice, and a barbecue handles cooking in the open air.

Water toys

A 12ft Williams jet tender runs guests ashore, a paddleboard and a floating lounge go over the side, and there is gear aboard for snorkelling and for fishing; diving equipment and a Seabob can be arranged on request.

Charter notes

Kati suits a family, or friends travelling together, who want the islands of Thailand with a crew handling the boat and the tender. She can be hired for a week, for three days or for a day, and as many as 20 can be aboard for a day on the water.
