Leo50 Luxury Catamaran
About Leo50
Fishing gear is part of what Leo50 carries, so a line can go out from her deck without anyone packing tackle of their own. She is a 51ft (16m) luxury catamaran from Leopard Catamarans, built in Cape Town in 2024.
Where she cruises
Leo50 keeps her home port at Krabi in Thailand, and her charter grounds take in Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar. Phang Nga Bay gives her sheltered water to anchor in, and Koh Kai, Koh Yao and Rang Yai are all places she can reach.
Accommodation and crew
Three double cabins sleep six guests, and she carries air conditioning and Wi-Fi, so the cabins stay cool and phones stay connected. Two crew, a captain and a hostess, look after them, with January, February, March and December making up her peak season.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 8 knots and can make 12, and her twin hulls keep her level as she moves, so walking about her decks under way is easy.
On deck
The flybridge carries a lounge with its own table, which gives a second place to dine or to sit with a drink in the evening, open to the air. A barbecue station lets a meal be grilled outside, and a projector television gives her a big screen for a film.
Water toys
Paddleboards and snorkelling gear travel with her, so flat water can be paddled and the seabed looked at from the surface. A dinghy with an outboard serves as her beach tender and takes the party ashore, and a hot and cold shower aft rinses the salt off after a swim or a paddle.
Charter notes
For a family or a group of friends taking her on hire, Leo50 can carry fifteen people by day, so the party that joins for the water can be larger than the group that sleeps aboard overnight.
