Northern Sun Motor Yacht As seen on Below Deck
About Northern Sun
The 167ft (51m) Northern Sun was built by Narasaki Zosen in 1976 and refitted in 2019, bringing modern finishes and updated systems to a proven motor yacht platform. She welcomes up to 18 guests for day charters and sleeps 12 across 6 cabins for longer voyages, with a crew of 13 onboard providing full service.
Versatile Chartering
Northern Sun is equally at home on a day trip as she is on a week-long cruise through Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives and Seychelles. The 2019 refit modernised her living spaces and amenities, making her a comfortable option for groups who want a deck jacuzzi, an on-board gym, and an entertainment system without the price tag of a brand-new yacht. At 10 knots, she reaches the best anchorages quickly, maximising time spent enjoying each destination. The crew keeps the experience smooth whether you have six hours or six days.
Fun on the Water
She carries 8 water toys including a jet ski, an e-foil, SUP boards, water skis, a wakeboard, kayaks, towable inflatables, and a water slide – available whether you book a half day or a full week. The crew prepares equipment at each stop, and guests can jump between activities at will. The swim platform makes water access easy for all ages, and the 1 x 8m Rib tender 300hp outboard and 1 x 23ft RIB tender is ready to ferry groups to beaches and shoreside restaurants.
Season & Destinations
Northern Sun charters across Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives and Seychelles in the Southeast Asia and Indian Ocean, following the best cruising conditions through the year. The prime chartering window falls within Jan, Feb, Mar, Dec. Her day charter flexibility makes Northern Sun a strong choice for first-time charterers, special events, or anyone looking to explore the Southeast Asia and Indian Ocean at their own pace.
