IQ Sailing Catamaran

Scuba diving travels with IQ, a 46ft (15m) sailing catamaran built in 2020 by Nautitech Catamarans, and among only two boats from that yard in our fleet, so a party that dives has the gear with them.

Water toys

A kayak, snorkelling gear and fishing tackle come aboard alongside the diving, which covers the shallow water, the deeper water and a paddle around an anchorage without an engine. Her beach tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

IQ keeps her home port in the Cyclades, Greece, and her cruising reaches across Greece and Turkey, which puts the anchorages of two countries within her range.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins take eight guests overnight, and a crew of two handles the boat, so running her is never the guests' job. Air conditioning cools the cabins below and Wi-Fi carries through the boat.

Comfort under way

Under sail she settles at 9 knots and can push to 15, her peak months being July and August.

Charter notes

IQ suits a family or a group of friends who want swimming, snorkelling and diving close at hand rather than a long passage plan, and she also takes a day hire, with as many as twelve aboard for it, so a wider circle can share the sailing.
