Deep Blue Sailing Catamaran

Twelve can be aboard Deep Blue for a day on the water, and she carries the gear to fill it: she was built in 2016 and refitted in 2021.

Comfort under way

A 58ft (20m) sailing catamaran from Leopard Catamarans, she sails at 8 knots and has a top speed of 12, and her peak months fall from December through March.

On deck

She is air-conditioned with Wi-Fi aboard, so the cabins stay cool and guests can keep in touch, and her swim platform makes getting into the sea and back out of it a simple matter.

Water toys

Two SUP boards and two kayaks go over the side, so a pair can paddle out at the same time, while a towable tube and a floating mat add to the time spent in the water. Fishing tackle and snorkelling kit travel with her, and a 10ft RIB tender runs guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Deep Blue keeps her home port at Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, and she cruises the British Virgin Islands and the Grenadines, both of them lined with beaches to go ashore to.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep eight guests overnight, and a crew of two sails her and looks after them.

Charter notes

She suits a family, or friends travelling together, who want a crewed rental built around swimming, paddling and fishing rather than around distance covered, with the capacity to bring others out for the day beyond the eight who stay aboard.
