About Freedom

A full-sized water slide is fixed at the aft end of Freedom's flybridge, next to the sun pads, and ends in the sea. She is a 115ft (35m) Sunseeker superyacht from 2017, with a GRP hull and superstructure and an open plan that carries through her decks and her interior alike.

On deck

Her foredeck is the largest sun space aboard, with an al fresco dining table, sun pads and a big jacuzzi, so dining, sunbathing and a soak in the open air share a single deck. Up on the flybridge a full dining table and a bar sit under a retractable roof, with a run of sofas alongside under the same roof, which gives the party sun or shade without going inside, and further sun pads lie aft where the slide starts. The main deck aft is shaded and holds her largest sofa and table group, and behind it a hydraulic swim platform and the tender garage put the water and the toys within reach.

Water toys

An 18ft Williams jet tender takes the party ashore, and she carries a Seadoo jet ski for a single rider at a time, a Seabob, wakeboards and water skis for towing, an inflatable kayak for paddling, a trampoline for jumping and a water mattress for lying on the surface, with a diving set and goggles for anyone who prefers to look beneath it.

Where she cruises

Rhodes is Freedom's home port, and of the five yachts based there she is the longest. From it she works Greece and Turkey, so a charter with her need not keep to a single country's waters.

Accommodation and crew

Five staterooms sleep ten guests. The master takes the full beam of the main deck, with a king-size bed, a desk of its own and a large walk-in shower room, while the lower deck holds two doubles and two twins that convert to doubles and carry pullmans besides, each stateroom with its own en suite. Seven crew look after those ten – July and August being the height of her season – which puts seven pairs of hands at the service of ten people.

Comfort under way

Trac digital fin stabilisers are active whether Freedom lies at anchor or is moving, and they take the roll out of both. Twin MTU diesel engines give her a 14-knot cruise with 25 knots available, so she covers ground quickly when needed.

Charter notes

She suits two couples or a family, the convertible twins made up as doubles or kept as twins as the party needs, their pullmans adding a berth apiece. A folding Technogym treadmill with yoga mats, resistance bands and free weights means a week's hire need not interrupt anyone's training, and by day she can carry twelve, so a group of ten can grow through the daylight hours without anyone giving up a bed.
