KAR Motor Yacht

Gym mats, weights and training springs came aboard KAR with her 2024 refit, so exercise is possible without going ashore; she is an 88ft (27m) Riva motor yacht built in 2021.

Water toys

She carries two Seabobs, a Yamaha jet ski and a Waydoo eFoil, plus a pair of inflatable paddleboards and a towable donut, and the snorkelling gear runs to eight sets, so everyone aboard can be in the water at once. A fishing set travels with her, and the 10ft Williams jet tender handles the runs ashore.

Where she cruises

Amalfi is her home port, on the coast of Italy. Her cruising ground then takes in Italy, Malta, Monaco and France, so a group need not stay with a single coastline.

Accommodation and crew

Four ensuite cabins on the lower deck sleep eight: the full-beam owner's suite with a king bed and walk-in wardrobe, two VIP suites with queen beds, and a twin with two single beds. Four crew look after them, which puts a pair of guests to each crew member.

Comfort under way

KAR's stabilisers work at anchor and while making way, keeping roll down in both, and she cruises at 25 knots with 34 knots available, which shortens the passage between anchorages.

On deck

The aft deck dining area seats eight under a bimini and side tents, the flybridge is laid out for seating and lounging, and the foredeck adds a table with a C-shaped sofa under its own tent. The big beach club aft has a shower, which makes the sea easy to get in and out of.

Charter notes

KAR suits a family or friends who want the week handled for them, and bookings run from a rental of three days to a full week, July and August her peak months. Twelve can be aboard by day and eighteen for an event, so the party can grow beyond those staying the night.
