Build and provenance
Riva delivered Kar as an 88' Folgore, a monohull sportfly motor yacht at 27 metres with a 6.3-metre beam and a two-metre draught. She carries a 2024 refit on her record, described in her listing as perfectly maintained, with a full repaint that year and a winter yard period covering hull cleaning, antifouling and treatment of her running gear. That is the pattern of a yacht kept ready to work, not laid up between owners.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep in four ensuite cabins, led by a full-beam owner's suite with a king bed and a walk-in wardrobe. Two VIP cabins forward take queen beds, and a twin guest cabin completes the deck. A crew of four works from the lower deck, close to the galley, keeping service quick without guests seeing the workings of it.
Performance and engineering
Dual engines deliver 2,638 horsepower each, carrying Kar to a 25-knot cruise and a 34-knot top speed, a sportfly built for pace rather than slow coastal loops. Gyroscopic stabilisation keeps her level under way, useful on a hull built to run fast.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
