Skyfall II Motor Yacht
About Skyfall II
A metallic gold hull is rare enough to be picked out across a harbour, and Skyfall II carries hers on the drawn-out lines of a Rivale 52 by Riva, a 52ft (16m) motor yacht from 2018, understated inside with fine woods and fabrics and open to the air in her cockpit.
Where she cruises
Portofino harbour in Italy is her home port, and the coast of Italy is the ground she cruises, July and August her peak months.
Accommodation and crew
Three cabins are fitted below: a double and a twin that sleep four guests, and a third for the two crew who run her, with three heads to share. She is air-conditioned below and carries Wi-Fi, so guests stay connected wherever she anchors.
Comfort under way
Twin MAN engines take her to 40 knots and she settles at a 30-knot cruise, so she can put distance behind her between anchorages.
On deck
The cockpit is open, laid in teak, and an electric sunshade pulls across it for shade. Two sundecks give room to stretch out, and the swim platform puts guests straight into the sea. Fresh water, a fridge and an ice maker keep cold soft drinks to hand, with a Bluetooth stereo for music.
Water toys
Snorkelling equipment travels with her, enough to turn a swim into a look at the seabed.
Charter notes
By day she takes twelve aboard, but Skyfall II reads above all as a boat for two couples: a cabin apiece over a week's hire, and the speed to move on at will.
