About Kalizma

G.L. Watson & Co. drew her exterior and Della Tecnica her interior: a 150ft (46m) superyacht built by Ramage & Ferguson in 1906 and restored in 2020.

Where she cruises

Kalizma keeps her home port at Male, in the Maldives, and her grounds run from the Maldives across to the Seychelles, so guests have two Indian Ocean cruising areas rather than a single coast to work along.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests, three of them doubles and two twins, and by day as many as forty can be aboard. Her crew numbers ten, a captain and nine more, which gives a crew member for every guest sleeping on board.

Comfort under way

Three Cummins engines move her at a cruising 10 knots with 12 at full, on 115 litres an hour, the unhurried pace of a classic hull, and December through March are her busiest months.

On deck

Open space is spread over a main deck, a forward deck and an upper bridge deck, and while SONOS plays through the interior, a Fusion system with Bluetooth covers the outside, so music indoors and out can run separately.

Water toys

Two 18ft Ribeye tenders carry guests ashore, and Kalizma travels with two Yamaha Wave Runners, so two can ride at once, along with a Seabob, two paddleboards, water skis, a towable sofa and fishing tackle.

Charter notes

Kalizma is offered on a weekly rental, and she suits a family or two couples. Three sets of dive gear and snorkelling equipment are kept on board, so three guests can be in the water in scuba kit at the same time.
