Record Year Motor Yacht

Record Year keeps two home ports rather than a single one, unusual for an 85ft (26m) motor yacht, and the second of them widens the water her guests can reach on this 2021 Princess.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Nassau, in the Bahamas, while a second base at Miami puts the USA within her range, and the clear water of the Bahamas is what she anchors in.

Accommodation and crew

Four en suite cabins sleep 8 guests, the full-beam master amidships and the VIP forward with a walk-in wardrobe of its own, plus a double and a twin that converts into a double. A crew of 3 looks after them, and the single-level main deck is laid out with three separate seating areas, so the group can spread out.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers work at anchor and on the move, so the roll goes out of both, and she makes 25 knots in cruise with 34 flat out.

On deck

She is built for outdoor living: a moulded lounge on the aft deck, an enlarged foredeck open to the sun, and a teak flybridge with a big dining table, a wet bar and a sunpad aft. Her swim platform makes getting into the sea straightforward.

Water toys

A 28ft Pursuit tender runs guests ashore, and 9 toys travel with her: a Wave Runner, 2 paddleboards for two paddlers, water skis and a wakeboard in adult and child sizes, a kneeboard, a towable tube and gear for fishing and snorkelling.

Charter notes

She suits a family or a group of friends, and can be taken by the week or for a shorter hire of at least 3 days, December to March being her busiest months. By day she can carry 12, so the group on the water can be bigger than the group in the cabins.
